I’ve been using lessmans vitamins for a few years. With so many different companies popping up, I’d like your true opinions of his. How is the potency?, quality etc??

please let your doctors know what you are taking before blood work is done. biotin is not to be two weeks before a Thyriod test is taken. Messed mine up for a year. To much b12 can cause heart papulations and panic and anxiety attacks. talked to CS with Aandrew lessman and they said “he always says check with your doctor” How do you make that appointment and still have a 30 day Return policy. lot of money wasted. Eye Dr.said “Eye support at drug store was better. The added herbs that are added is just hype. Please be careful VITIAMS are Not FDA regulated. Repeated blood work and labs and co-pays add up.

I’ve been using Andrews products for years, but recently noticed some of his products are Proprietary Blends. Which means you can’t know what the ingredients are. So I’m learning to check the list of ingredients before I buy. Even if it says “flower extracts” for example, I need to know which flowers. I have health problems and take a few prescriptions, so I can’t just blindly take something without knowing what’s in it.

@0cookie1, you might want to consider talking to your doctor about this, especially with your health issues.

ocookie, the answer depends on a few things. The Short answer is to possibly start with the “Essential-1 with D 1000” and an “Essential Omega-3” and build from there. Since you have mentioned cholesterol you might consider the “Cholestacare” and/or “Choco Nuvo”.
Others thoughts: Read the reviews Wait to purchase for the Monthly Specials.
Buy low quantities until you decide what works best for you. You might try their Customer Service Number for suggestions.

read reviews that are 5 plus years old and then tells us with New Reseach we need more of this or that. How about some reviews that are more up to date. His customer service is working for him not us. A Doctor will tell you it takes more then 30 days for a Medicine to work. The people who say they felt a diffrence in a week ????

I love Andrew Lessman’s vitamins and take many as does my husband. At a recent appointment with my eye doctor I was told to take an AREDS 2 supplement. Well I’ve been taking Andrew’s Ultimate Eye support for years and was shocked to find out it does NOT contain all of the recommended ingredients. Why not? I’m very disillusioned.

I’ve been using Andrew’s Immune Factor for years to build up my
immune system and I know it has been a BIG factor in resisting
colds within the household for me. I’ve also taken many others
herbs and vitamins as I like his science behind his products.- Rustythedog

Andrew Lessman’s multi vitamin contains metafolate.

Rustythedog, do you mean the Essential contains L-Methylfolate? or something else?

Here is my opinion of vitamins and supplements in general. One needs to buy a high quality brand. Not the cheap ones from the pharmacy or big box store. Go to a health store or a website like I herbs or vitamin shoppe (they have stores). I also use pure brand and I order from their website. I do not use Andrew Lessman’s line because I have tried two supplements and one did not work and the other did not have the ingredients listed and gave me liver pain. Does not mean his vitamins are not good but I got turned off. Check and see if his multi vitamin has folic acid or folate. The better choice is folate. Do not purchase any multi vitamin with folic acid, that is the chemical version and metafolate is the best choice for body absorption. Folic acid is cheaper. Other people on here swear by Andrew Lessman brand. He does talk like he knows his nutritional and supplement stuff.

yellow-rose14, thanks for your folate information I looked it up. The Andrew Lessman Essential that I take has folate as L-Methylfolate and not folic acid.
Agree about what works for some may not work for others. Recently someone showed me the label on their health store vitamins. It contained all the basics and K. The AL Essential vitamins contains all the basics plus some for the eyes and a few others which I prefer. It does not have K. The prices were not too far apart.
I am happy with my AL vitamins.
